Director of Academic Excellence (Remote)

About the role

2 Hour Learning is seeking a senior leader to own and scale its proven academic model that enables students to learn at twice the speed in just two hours a day. As the Director of Academic Excellence, you will translate learning‑science principles into operational strategies, guide school teams worldwide, and serve as the public face of the movement.

Key responsibilities

• Design academic frameworks that turn learning‑science research into curriculum, motivation systems, and app functionality.
• Lead execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure alignment, accountability, and results across school sites.
• Integrate data, stakeholder interviews, and observations into ecosystem assessments that pinpoint obstacles and recommend interventions.
• Maintain strategic coherence through structured planning, continuous feedback, and milestone management.
• Represent 2 Hour Learning at high‑profile events, including keynote presentations and engagements with Ministries of Education.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of leadership experience in academic or EdTech settings, with a track record of building systems and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to influence public policy and communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical mindset and experience conducting data‑driven assessments.
