Digital Project Manager – Freelance (Corporate Communications)

About the role

Join Black Sun’s Digital team to manage the end‑to‑end delivery of high‑calibre digital solutions for corporate communications and stakeholder engagement. You will oversee website builds, content uploads, SEO, GEO and AI tracking, and other digital communications projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and drive daily project delivery, maintaining schedules, budgets and scope.
• Lead discovery and definition phases, translating client briefs into project plans, sitemaps and wireframes.
• Produce and maintain core project documentation such as briefs, schedules, requirements and status reports.
• Coordinate design and content changes, review work before hand‑off, and manage supplier quality.
• Handle client support requests, maintenance tasks and ensure timely resolution.
• Manage project budgets, raise purchase orders and support invoicing.

Required profile

• 3+ years agency experience in digital marketing and communications, delivering website projects from inception to launch.
• Proven experience managing corporate or B2B websites, with knowledge of accessibility, usability and design best practices.
• Strong client‑facing skills, able to work with account managers and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to scope large‑scale digital projects, identify risks and maintain detailed project plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Microsoft Project and other project‑tracking software.
• Content Management Systems (CMS) usage.
• Ticketing tools such as JIRA for issue tracking.
• QA techniques and processes.
• Knowledge of W3C WCAG accessibility standards.
• SEO, GEO and AI tracking, web analytics.
