Digital Account Manager – Rainmaker Media

About the role

Rainmaker Media, powered by Africa’s largest retailer, is building a precision retail media service and needs a Digital Account Manager to foster strong client relationships and ensure successful execution of digital media campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for clients and external stakeholders, understanding their goals, needs, and challenges.
• Serve as a strategic liaison between clients and the digital strategist to develop comprehensive paid‑media strategies.
• Manage client budgets effectively, ensuring maximum ROI and adherence to financial targets.
• Generate campaign cost estimates and oversee the invoicing process with accuracy and timeliness.
• Produce regular performance reports, analyse data trends and provide actionable insights.
• Maintain open communication with clients, addressing concerns and presenting strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with creative, analytics and campaign‑management teams to ensure seamless execution.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Marketing, Advertising, Media or related field (essential).
• At least 5 years’ experience in digital account management within a paid‑media agency or similar environment.
• Proven success in managing client relationships and communicating effectively.
• Experience in budget management, financial analysis, cost estimation and invoicing.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the retail media landscape.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
