Diesel Mechanic

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Vereeniging. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining diesel‑powered vehicles while adhering to strict safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related vehicle systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections using hand tools and specialised equipment.
• Follow safety instructions and company procedures at all times.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
• Ensure vehicles are road‑worthy and compliant with regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in a technical environment.
• Valid PDP driving licence and EC/EC1 driver’s licence.
• Physically fit with good knowledge of routes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Trade certification as a diesel mechanic.
