DevSecOps Platform Specialist

About the role

Our client in Pretoria is seeking a DevSecOps Platform Specialist to take full operational ownership of their DevSecOps toolchain. This 12‑month renewable contract role is fully onsite and focuses on maintaining stability, security, and efficiency across CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day operational ownership and administration of DevSecOps platforms and supporting tools used in CI/CD workflows.
• Install, configure, maintain, and administer tools such as GitLab, SonarQube, Fortify, and JFrog.
• Maintain and enforce secure configuration baselines to prevent drift across teams and projects.
• Coordinate tool upgrades, patching, plugin updates, certificate rotations, and compatibility updates in line with security expectations.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and platform engineering teams for hosting or underlying platform activities without assuming infrastructure ownership.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in DevSecOps or DevOps.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent (NQF 7) preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with GitLab.
• Proficiency in SonarQube for code quality analysis.
• Experience using Fortify for SAST/DAST security scanning.
• Knowledge of JFrog Artifactory or similar artifact repository tools.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipeline administration and secure configuration management.
