Development Manager

About the role

TIH is seeking a Development Manager to lead its IT systems development function. You will oversee the planning, prioritisation and delivery of software projects, ensuring alignment with business needs and fostering innovation across the development team.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain an application software roadmap that reflects business priorities.
• Analyse complex information sources to design innovative technology solutions.
• Build and sustain relationships with business and IT stakeholders, managing expectations and communication.
• Communicate strategy and motivate the development team to achieve organisational goals.
• Develop tactical plans to optimise resources and assets within the department.
• Manage performance, set objectives and take corrective actions for a diverse team.
• Conduct research and data analysis to identify trends and inform decision‑making.
• Design reporting templates and deliver insights that translate into actionable recommendations.
• Assess staff capabilities, identify gaps and implement development programmes.
• Plan and deliver projects using appropriate project‑management methodologies.
