About the role
Combined Private Investigations is looking for a motivated Desktop Technician to provide on‑site technical support for its Midrand office. The role involves maintaining hardware and software, troubleshooting user issues, and assisting with basic server and network tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver desktop and user support across the business.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, email, and network problems.
- Assist with server, Active Directory, and network administration.
- Support time‑and‑attendance systems.
- Maintain IT documentation and provide user training.
Required profile
- Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
- Relevant IT qualification (Microsoft/Information Technology).
- Valid driver’s licence.
- At least 1 year of IT support experience (advantageous).
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
- Desktop support and troubleshooting.
- Networking fundamentals.
- IT security basics.
- Hardware installation and software configuration.
- Active Directory administration.
- Server administration basics.
