Desktop Support Technician – Cape Town

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to deliver hands‑on and remote IT assistance across multiple office locations in Cape Town. You will work closely with business users, ensuring that desktop, collaboration and mobile technologies remain reliable and available.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve first‑line incidents for Windows and macOS desktops.
• Provide remote and onsite support for mobile devices, telephony and networking issues.
• Manage service requests, track recurring problems and contribute to operational reporting.
• Deliver user guidance, training and documentation for productivity tools.
• Occasionally travel between sites and work extended hours to meet operational needs.

Required profile

• 3‑year ICT qualification or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of practical IT support experience.
• Strong ownership, ability to work under pressure and clear communication skills.
• Professionalism, ethical standards and a proactive mindset.

Required skills

• Windows and macOS desktop operating systems.
• Mobile device support and troubleshooting.
• Network and telephony support environments.
• Endpoint protection tools and desktop connectivity technologies.
• Productivity software suites (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Information security practices and user‑level security controls.
• Industry certifications such as A+, N+, Microsoft (e.g., MCITP) are a plus.
