Dermatology Pharmacy Medical Representative

About the role

The Dermatology Pharmacy Medical Representative will promote the company’s dermatology product range to independent and corporate pharmacies across the assigned territory. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, building strong pharmacy relationships, and delivering product training to pharmacy staff.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell dermatology products to pharmacies, ensuring alignment with sales targets and territory plans.
• Develop and maintain a routine call cycle, visiting all customers within the allocated region.
• Conduct product training sessions and one‑on‑one detailing for pharmacy staff.
• Execute value‑added programs and marketing strategies at pharmacy level.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
• Prepare and submit monthly expense reports, call planners and activity feedback to the Regional Sales Manager.
• Monitor market conditions, analyse data and report competitive insights.
• Resolve customer complaints, prepare reports and recommend solutions.

Required profile

• Matric/Grade 12 with tertiary qualification in Science, Sales & Marketing or Business.
• Minimum 3‑5 years experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical sales, preferably with pharmacy (independent & corporate) exposure.
• Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and product endorsement processes.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
