Deputy Nursing Services Manager (Hospital Group)

About the role
The Deputy Nursing Manager will be responsible for the clinical nursing management of the hospital, coordinating all functions related to patient care and leading a multidisciplinary team in consultation with stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure 100% reporting of all incidents and alerts.
- Investigate and report incidents according to hospital policy.
- Provide safe, cost‑effective, quality patient care aligned with clinical governance and evidence‑based practice.
- Evaluate nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes.
- Promote health and wellbeing of patients and employees.
- Adhere to infection prevention principles and international standard precautions.
- Implement group quality initiatives.
- Identify non‑compliance areas through clinical audits.
Required profile
- Relevant nursing qualification (Diploma/Degree in General Nursing, PGDip Health Services Management).
- 2‑3 years management experience in the private sector.
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse.
- Sound financial knowledge and ability to interpret financial data.
- Computer literacy.
