About the role

The Department of Defence in South Africa, together with other government departments, is offering a wide range of entry‑level and internship positions for 2026. These roles cover administration, support services and basic operational duties across multiple defence facilities and government offices.

Required profile

Minimum Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or an ABET qualification, depending on the specific post.
No prior experience required for most positions; some posts accept up to six months of relevant experience.

Competitive salary ranging from R144,024 to R279,708 per annum (Levels 02‑05) for Defence positions.
Placement at various locations including Bloemfontein, Pretoria, Durban, Simonstown, Potchefstroom, Wynberg, Lephalale, Qqeberha and others.
