Demand Planner

About the role

We are looking for a Demand Planner to join Humankind Group’s supply chain team in Cape Town. The role will support end‑to‑end Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP) with a focus on demand and supply alignment, ensuring that production and customer delivery targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the full S&OP cycle, coordinating demand and supply planning activities.
• Support material planning and execute material and finished‑goods plans for the production team.
• Order stock from suppliers and principals to meet customer demand while maintaining service levels.
• Analyse stock levels to optimise profitability and maintain optimal inventory.
• Resolve issues related to late or incomplete deliveries.
• Align monthly production schedules with forecasts to meet sales requirements.
• Collaborate with Planning, Logistics and Sales to guarantee order fulfilment.
• Maintain supply‑chain documentation in line with shipping and quality standards.
• Communicate risk information to key stakeholders.
• Manage forecasts and coordinate raw‑material and production plans for third‑party bottlers.
• Support ad‑hoc forecasting and planning projects as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or 4‑year diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in demand planning, S&OP or supply planning.
• Shipping knowledge and materials planning experience are advantageous.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS or CPIM are a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with SAP or a comparable ERP system.
• Experience using demand‑forecasting or planning tools.
• Strong MS Office competency.
