Demand Operations Lead – Nutrition

About the role

Unilever is looking for a Demand Operations Lead (DOL) for its Nutrition portfolio in Southern Africa. Reporting to the Sales & Operations Planning Lead, you will own the demand planning agenda, delivering accurate short‑ and long‑term forecasts and coordinating promotional planning across key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full‑year demand forecasts using sales trends, macro‑economic insights, promotional plans and innovation pipelines.
• Leverage AI‑enabled forecasting tools to produce baseline and promotional forecasts that support business planning.
• Own quarterly demand forecasts, ensuring delivery against value and volume targets while continuously improving forecast accuracy and reducing bias.
• Collaborate with Customer and Planning teams to create and execute promotional forecasts, evaluate performance and ROI, and provide data‑driven insights for commercial decisions.
• Identify performance gaps, develop mitigation actions and drive continuous improvement in forecast execution.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in broad‑based supply chain management.
• Strong understanding of the S&OP process and cadence.
• Experience managing external partners and coordinating cross‑functional inputs.
• Ability to translate data, insights and commercial inputs into actionable demand plans.
