Debtors Controller (Cape Town)

About the role

The Debtors Controller will ensure effective cash collection from TTS clients, maintain client accounts, and minimise financial risk for the company.

Key responsibilities

• Collect EFT payments within credit terms, allocate them promptly, and process swipe‑card transactions for fully matched invoices.
• Deliver invoices and statements to clients no later than one month as agreed, and follow up weekly on outstanding payments and card‑in‑pocket clients.
• Monitor and resolve fraudulent charges, cancelled orders, and credit notes within 30 days, and respond to all email queries within 24 hours.
• Allocate payments against invoices, investigate un‑allocated receipts, and chase clients for unpaid amounts while maintaining a cost‑conscious mindset.
• Perform quality‑control checks on supporting documents, run open‑item accounts weekly, and review client card statements bi‑monthly for irregularities.

Required profile

• Finance qualification (or currently studying towards one).
• At least four years of experience in a similar debt‑collection or accounts‑receivable role.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
