Debtors and Creditors Controller

About the role

Join a dynamic waste management organization committed to sustainable practices and operational excellence as a Debtors and Creditors Controller. You will ensure smooth management of financial transactions, supporting the company’s growth and financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and reconcile debtors and creditors accounts efficiently.
• Process transactions accurately, ensuring compliance with VAT regulations.
• Maintain the general ledger and support accounting processes.
• Collaborate with finance and operational teams to optimise cash flow.
• Assist in financial reporting and month‑end procedures.

Required profile

• Matric with a strong pass in Mathematics or accountancy.
• Bookkeeping Certificate, N6 or higher in Accounting, or a National Diploma in Accounting.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in debtors and creditors management.
• Strong understanding of general ledger, VAT processing, and accounting transactions.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Familiarity with waste‑management industry processes (preferred but not essential).
• Experience with ERP systems and preparing books to trial balance.
