Debtor Supervisor – Team Lead

About the role

The Debtor's Supervisor will ensure the smooth operation of the debtor management section, overseeing document delivery, cash collection and client relationships across all offices. This full‑time position reports to senior management and leads a team of staff to meet financial and service targets.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of client documents and attachment of required supporting paperwork.
• Allocate payments promptly and monitor weekly age analysis.
• Supervise staff to guarantee adherence to processes, policies and the Code of Conduct.
• Conduct staff appraisals, create performance development plans and support recruitment, selection and onboarding.
• Coordinate with Payroll and HR to maintain accurate personnel files and meet deadlines.
• Provide coaching, mentorship and regular one‑on‑one meetings with team members.
• Drive cost‑reduction initiatives and promote the company’s Vision and Step Up Program.
• Oversee manual processing of reversals, declined transactions and debtor journal entries.
• Ensure month‑end age analysis shows no outstanding amounts for credit‑card accounts.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of supervisory experience, preferably as a Debtor Supervisor.
• Proven ability to manage a team, conduct performance reviews and handle recruitment.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external clients.
• Finance degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in travel or banking environments is a plus.
