Debt Collection Attorney

About the role

Independently handle debt collection and related litigation matters in the High Court and Magistrate's Court, including Sectional Title levy collections. Manage your diary using a legal practice management system and draft pleadings and correspondence.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to debt collection, sectional title levy collection and litigation matters for the firm.
• Manage your own diary on the legal practice management system.
• Draft pleadings and correspondence, ensuring accuracy before filing with the courts.

Required profile

• LLB degree and admission as an Attorney.
• 1‑2 years post‑admission experience in High Court & Magistrate's Court litigation and debt collection.
• Experience with Sectional Title levy collections (preferred).
• Good knowledge of legislation governing debt collection and sectional title levy collections.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
• Stable employment history with contactable references and residence within commuting distance of Edenvale.
