Data Scientist – Machine Learning & Analytics

About the role

We are supporting a client who is expanding their Data Science team. The role offers the chance to own end‑to‑end data science work‑streams, translate complex business problems into analytical solutions, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver data science work‑streams within client projects.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, build and evaluate machine‑learning models, and engineer features at scale.
• Translate well‑defined and ambiguous business problems into structured analytical solutions.
• Write clean, scalable, well‑documented code and validate model results.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to solution design and, where appropriate, influence architecture and technical direction.
• Mentor junior team members as needed.

Required profile

• STEM degree (minimum BSc; MSc or PhD is a plus).
• At least 3 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field.
• Ability to work independently and handle ambiguity.

Required skills

• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience with Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit‑learn.
• Familiarity with deep‑learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow (advantageous).
• Solid understanding of machine‑learning, statistics, and data‑science fundamentals.
