Data Scientist – AI & Generative Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a Data Scientist who blends strong analytical and modeling expertise with hands‑on AI solution development. The role focuses on building predictive models, designing generative AI agents and automations, and delivering them into production to solve real business challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Apply statistical, data‑mining and visualization techniques to model complex problems and generate actionable insights.
• Build, train and operationalise machine‑learning models (classification, forecasting, anomaly detection) using Python, Azure ML or Fabric ML.
• Design end‑to‑end AI workflows, from data ingestion and prompt design to integration with existing systems.
• Develop and deploy rapid AI solutions with Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or similar frameworks.
• Create conversational agents, copilots and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) tools embedded in business processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define objectives, scope and deliverables.
• Present findings, provide stakeholder training and produce technical documentation to ensure reproducibility.

Required profile

• Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline (statistics, economics, mathematics, computer science) OR 3‑5 years of proven data‑science experience.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to translate technical results into business value.
• Experience working with business users, running workshops and eliciting requirements.

Required skills

• Python (or R) programming.
• Azure Machine Learning, Microsoft Fabric, Azure OpenAI.
• Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate.
• Data‑visualisation libraries and Power BI.
• REST APIs, connectors and integration methods.
• Machine‑learning lifecycle knowledge (data preparation, training, evaluation, deployment).
