Data Engineer (Asset Management)

About the role

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join an international fintech company that serves asset‑management clients. The role is fully remote and focuses on designing, building and maintaining data management solutions that support research and investment processes.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and implement bespoke software for asset‑management clients.
• Understand and translate business requirements into end‑to‑end data service solutions.
• Provide 2nd‑tier support and enhancement services, acting as a liaison with clients.
• Develop, test and maintain data architectures, including databases and large‑scale processing systems.
• Employ scripting languages and process‑flow tools to integrate systems and automate workflows.
• Recommend improvements for data reliability, efficiency and quality.
• Create user interfaces that enable clients to upload their own data.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, Actuarial Science or Engineering.
• Proven experience in data integration and transformation within an asset‑management or financial‑markets environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to model data and understand inter‑dependencies across sources.
