Data Capturer / CSD Clerk – Pretoria

About the role

The Data Capturer / CSD Clerk will support the Customer Service Desk and logistics billing processes in our Pretoria office. You will handle freight documentation, communicate with clients and internal teams, and ensure accurate data entry for billing and month‑end closing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full CSD functions, including answering phone calls and responding to emails.
• Manage all internal and external client communications and resolve freight queries.
• Coordinate with key accounts and customers regarding undelivered freight.
• Sweep the CSD office daily to ensure no PODs are left behind.
• Capture waybills accurately, scan, link, verify and load correct charges.
• Ensure PODs are signed and contain correct billing information.
• Clear the billing system daily and support month‑end closing activities.
• Provide ad‑hoc assistance to operations and branch duties as required.

Required profile

• Professional with strong attention to detail, even under pressure.
• Self‑motivated, organized and able to manage time to meet deadlines.
• Bilingual with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Friendly, calm demeanor when dealing with staff and customers.
• Matric qualification and basic computer literacy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Prior CSD experience and fast, accurate data‑capturing skills are advantageous.
• Familiarity with the RWS in‑house system is preferred.
