Data Analyst – Project Management Office

About the role

Liberty is seeking a dedicated Data Analyst to join its Project Management Office (PMO) within the Personal and Private Banking South Africa (PPBSA) division. The role will transform raw project and change‑initiative data into actionable insights, empowering informed decision‑making and providing clear visibility into performance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret project and change data to identify trends, patterns and potential risks that support strategic decisions.
• Create and maintain reports, dashboards and visualisations that communicate project performance, implementation status, user adoption rates and realised benefits.
• Consolidate, validate and manage data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all reporting outputs.
• Maintain and enhance existing PMO reporting tools and platforms, driving automation, simplification and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with project, change and business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into data‑driven insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Business/Commerce.
• 2‑3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting or project analytics, preferably within banking or a complex organisational environment.
• Hands‑on proficiency with Power BI, SQL and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and visualisation.
• Experience extracting, cleaning, transforming, validating and consolidating data using tools such as Power Query and DAX.
• Understanding of data quality principles, data governance and reporting automation in regulated environments.
