About the role
We are seeking a part‑time Cyber Security Analyst to join a global technology leader. Working remotely, you will monitor security events, investigate incidents, and help protect critical infrastructure and sensitive data across multiple time zones.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events from SIEM platforms, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Investigate security incidents, determine scope, impact, and root cause.
- Implement and maintain security controls to mitigate risks.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions.
- Prepare detailed incident reports documenting findings and recommendations.
Required profile
- Proven experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools like Nessus, OpenVAS, or Qualys.
- Understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
- Ability to analyze logs and network traffic for anomalies.
- Experience with incident response procedures.
