Customer Support Agent (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Customer Support Agent to deliver friendly, efficient, and solution‑focused assistance to our customers. This fully remote position is ideal for someone who is empathetic, patient, and committed to an outstanding customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries via email, live chat, and phone promptly and professionally.
• Diagnose and resolve issues, escalating complex cases when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of all interactions in the CRM system.
• Follow up with customers to confirm resolution and satisfaction.
• Identify recurring problems and flag them to product or operations teams.
• Contribute to support documentation, FAQs, and process improvements.
• Consistently meet individual and team SLA targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in customer support, helpdesk, or a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Empathetic, solution‑oriented approach to problem solving.
• Reliable home office with stable internet connection.
• Matric certificate; customer‑service certification is a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM/helpdesk platforms such as Zendesk, Freshdesk, or HubSpot.
