Customer Engagement Consultant

About the role

As a Customer Engagement Consultant you will own the end‑to‑end delivery of batch data solutions for high‑value customers across South Africa. You will act as a trusted advisor, translating business needs into configured, validated solutions that drive measurable value.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full delivery lifecycle of data solutions, from engagement and requirements gathering to configuration, validation and fulfillment.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with customers, ensuring solutions align with their business goals.
• Collaborate with sales, product and technology teams to design and deliver solutions that meet operational and strategic objectives.
• Manage a portfolio of solution delivery projects, balancing priorities, timelines and stakeholder expectations.
• Guide customers through platform transitions, ensuring smooth adoption and alignment with business objectives.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert, translating complex requirements, advising on compliance risks and supporting stakeholders.
• Identify process gaps, lead internal improvement initiatives and contribute to operational efficiency.
• Handle escalations professionally, protecting customer confidence and TransUnion’s reputation.
• Operate within governance and compliance frameworks to meet regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Financial Services, Data Analytics, Business Analysis or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in solution delivery, data or business analysis, product management or software development, ideally in a regulated industry.
• Proven ability to design, deliver and validate data‑driven solutions that meet complex business needs.
• Experience interpreting large data sets and turning insights into actionable recommendations.
• Strong communication skills, able to convey technical concepts to both expert and non‑technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently in a fast‑paced environment.
