Customer Assistant – Operations (Retail)

About the role

Join Woolworths as a Customer Assistant – Operations in Mossel Bay Mall. You will support daily store activities, ensure a safe and clean environment, and help customers enjoy a smooth shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and provide friendly assistance.
• Carry out store operational tasks in line with safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage stock processes: receive, check, store and dispatch goods accurately.
• Maintain an orderly sales floor and back‑room, adhering to all regulations.
• Report any incidents of dishonesty or shrinkage following corporate procedures.
• Participate in team meetings and communicate daily operational objectives.
• Apply basic selling techniques and product knowledge to support sales.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent NQF qualification.
• Experience in retail or FMCG environments, preferably in stockroom or receiving.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and demonstrate reliability.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and follow safety policies.
