Custom Clearance & Compliance Supervisor

About the role

The Custom Clearance & Compliance Supervisor will oversee all import and export customs activities, ensuring accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and efficient clearance processes for automotive vehicles and parts.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with customs authorities, brokers, logistics and transportation partners to coordinate clearance work.
• Collect, sort and verify import/export documents such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading and certificates of origin.
• Maintain a filing system for customs documents and support audit inquiries.
• Monitor changes in customs policies, tariff adjustments and regulatory requirements.
• Identify clearance risks, propose preventive measures and reduce compliance penalties.
• Calculate customs expenses, verify invoices and manage cost control.
• Optimize clearance procedures to improve efficiency and lower costs.
• Prepare customs ledgers, track clearance progress and report statistics to management.
• Manage full‑cycle customs declarations, resolve inspections, classification queries and document issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Customs Management or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in import and export customs clearance and trade compliance.
• Experience with customs clearance for complete vehicles and automotive spare parts is advantageous.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of customs clearance operations, tariff classification and duty calculation for vehicles and parts.
• Strong document review and auditing abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint with solid reporting and data analysis capabilities.
