Credit Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Credit Controller to lead the credit control function for our bakery business. You will be responsible for managing customer relationships, overseeing collections and ensuring healthy cash flow while complying with our credit policies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce credit policies, reduce bad debts and minimise credit risk exposure.
• Oversee collection of outstanding debts, follow up on delinquent accounts and initiate legal recovery actions when required.
• Maintain the general ledger, prepare month‑end reconciliations and ensure accurate journal entries under accountant guidance.
• Review trade‑spend claims, promotional activities and approve related payments.
• Prepare regular reports on ageing, cash flow and credit performance; analyse trends and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and with the national office on credit assurance matters.

Required profile

• National Diploma in Credit Management.
• 3‑5 years of experience in credit control or accounts receivable within the FMCG sector.
• Strong understanding of credit policies, audit processes and legal recovery procedures.
