Credit Controller – FMCG/Manufacturing (SAP S/4HANA required)

About the role

A Manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to manage customer collections, reconciliations and credit exposure. The successful candidate will have strong SAP S/4HANA and Excel skills, excellent numerical and administrative ability, and a proven track record in credit control.

Key responsibilities

• Manage timely collection of customer accounts in line with approved credit terms.
• Perform accurate monthly debtor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain customer master data, credit information, payment terms, collection notes and account activity in SAP.
• Monitor customer payment behaviour, credit exposure and limits, escalating potential risks.
• Review accounts exceeding credit limits and recommend actions per company policy.
• Allocate customer payments accurately and promptly.
• Identify potential bad debts early and implement collection and escalation strategies.
• Identify opportunities to improve credit‑control processes, reporting, automation and SAP utilisation.
• Coordinate preparation and collection of customer payments.
• Perform other duties as reasonably required by management.

Required profile

• Matric Certificate, preferably with Mathematics and/or Accounting.
• Qualification in Credit Control/Management is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Credit Control position, ideally in FMCG or Manufacturing.
• Proven track record in credit control and collections.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong administrative capability.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and work as part of a team.
