Credit & Collections Manager

About the role

Our client, an international manufacturer of power tools and technologies for construction, mining and automotive sectors, is seeking an experienced Credit & Collections Manager. The role leads a finance team, balances customer credit needs against company exposure, and offers a pathway to senior finance leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of finance professionals to develop and implement credit and collections policies and manage credit risk.
• Translate company strategy into departmental targets, set ambitious goals and ensure customer satisfaction through onsite visits and timely complaint resolution.
• Drive strategic cross‑functional projects, including digitalisation of processes and creation of value‑added financial services.
• Champion internal control systems, oversee improvement cycles, and manage internal audit follow‑ups for the Credit & Collections area.
• Oversee compliance checks, cash collection, credit applications, payment allocations and monitor external risks with Finance Business Partners.
• Collaborate with Finance IT to enhance Credit & Collections software, manage testing rounds and identify process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Master’s degree in Business or Finance preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Credit & Collections or related finance, consultancy or auditing roles within a multinational organisation.
• Proven leadership and people‑management experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with ability to simplify financial messages for non‑finance audiences.
• Experience acting as a strategic business partner influencing key stakeholders.
• High cultural awareness and an adaptive leadership style.
• Strong business acumen, proactive mindset and entrepreneurial drive.
• Willingness to be geographically flexible and travel internationally.
