Cost Controller

About the role

The Cost Controller will oversee budgeting, cost monitoring and financial reporting for multiple engineering projects. Working closely with project managers and finance directors, the role ensures accurate cost tracking, invoicing and variance analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Set up project budgets and cost structures in SAP.
• Monitor actual costs and man‑hours against budgets, including estimates to completion, TER and variations.
• Compile and clarify project budgets, assess status, and analyse impact of changes.
• Prepare monthly CSR and project reports for operations meetings.
• Design and implement new monthly reporting packs with PM and FD.
• Ensure invoicing aligns with contractual milestones and follow up on payments via platforms such as Ariba.
• Update cost reports, identify anomalies, and support corrective actions.
• Reconcile monthly man‑hour data from CATS to SAP and maintain related Excel files.
• Collaborate with Engineering to produce workforce capacity, utilisation and budget‑vs‑actual reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in commercial, accounting or financial management, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in project administration and controlling within an international contracting environment.
