Corporate Legal Advisor

About the role

Comsol Networks is looking for an experienced Corporate Legal Advisor to provide comprehensive legal support within its ICT and telecommunications environment. The successful candidate will work closely with management and business units, ensuring compliance with South African legislation and safeguarding the company’s commercial interests.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to management and various business units.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements.
• Advise on ICT, technology, and telecommunications‑related legal matters.
• Identify, assess, and manage legal and contractual risks.
• Ensure compliance with South African legislation, POPIA, and data‑privacy regulations.
• Manage disputes, litigation, and coordinate external legal counsel.
• Support corporate governance, company‑law matters, and employment‑law issues.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting the business.

Required profile

• LLB degree or equivalent legal qualification.
• 5–10 years post‑qualification legal experience, preferably in‑house.
• Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation experience.
• Knowledge of South African commercial, corporate, and contract law.
• Familiarity with POPIA and data‑protection requirements.
• Telecommunications industry experience and admission as an Attorney of the High Court are advantageous.
