Coordinator – Integrated Development Plan

About the role

The Coordinator of the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) will manage key applications and procedures related to the identification, implementation, monitoring and reporting of development services within Beaufort West Municipality. The role aims to create a conducive environment for entrepreneurs and empower citizens, community organisations and businesses to achieve sustainable social and economic outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage the activities of the division responsible for the IDP.
• Develop the divisional vision, strategy and align it with municipal objectives.
• Develop the municipality’s IDP in conjunction with the manager and internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct secondary research on IDP‑related activities, government policies and programmes.
• Report to designated institutions and manage day‑to‑day functioning of the IDP unit.

Required profile

• Relevant three‑year tertiary qualification, preferably in Public Administration, Performance Management, Project Management, B Degree or B Tech.
• Computer literacy in MS Office.
• Five to eight years of relevant experience.
• Code B driver’s licence.
• Proficiency in at least two official languages of the Western Cape.
