Controller – Managed Transport Solutions

About the role

The Controller for Managed Transport Solutions will coordinate and manage the procurement of transport services through approved subcontractors and partners. The role ensures on‑time, in‑full delivery of customer loads while meeting cost, service, compliance and operational targets.

Key responsibilities

• Source and secure suitable transport capacity to meet customer requirements.
• Negotiate transport rates and service agreements with approved providers.
• Allocate loads to subcontractors according to operational needs and service level agreements.
• Monitor load execution, proactively managing risks or delays.
• Communicate load status and exceptions to customers, providers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure all movements comply with company policies, customer requirements and legislation.
• Maintain accurate transport documentation and system updates.
• Monitor subcontractor performance against agreed KPIs and service standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management or a related field (advantageous).
• 3–5 years’ experience in transport operations, brokerage, logistics coordination or fleet management.
• Proven experience negotiating transport rates and managing subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of transport legislation, route planning and logistics operations.
• Eligibility to work in the country of employment.
