Contracts Administrator (18 month contract)

About the role

The Contracts Administrator will manage end‑to‑end administration of NEC ECC3 contracts for a renewable energy project in Cape Town. The role supports project delivery through contract governance, document control, reporting and stakeholder coordination across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Administer NEC contracts: early warnings, compensation events, PM instructions, notifications and quotations.
• Maintain contract registers, track contractual time‑bars and prepare notification templates.
• Support commercial activities: payment applications, compensation event budgets, supply and subcontract administration.
• Organise meetings, compile agendas, minutes and task trackers; facilitate weekly and monthly reporting.
• Manage document transmittals, revisions and filing systems; upload documents to client platforms.

Required profile

• Qualification or relevant experience in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, Project Management or Contract Management.
• Minimum 5 years project administration experience, including at least 3 years NEC ECC3/ECC4 contract administration on infrastructure, energy or industrial projects.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
