Contract Manager – Road Maintenance Projects

About the role

BCB Solutions is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to lead the execution of Routine Road Maintenance (RRM) contracts across South Africa. You will oversee project teams, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure safe, on‑time, and on‑budget delivery of high‑value infrastructure work.

Key responsibilities

• Manage RRM contracts in line with SANRAL specifications, GCC, and COTO/COLTO conditions.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, resource allocation and performance monitoring.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, cash flow and financial performance.
• Prepare and review monthly payment certificates, progress reports and contractual documentation.
• Serve as primary liaison with SANRAL, engineers, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Identify, assess and mitigate contractual, operational, financial and project risks.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety, environmental regulations and company policies.
• Mentor site agents and other project personnel, driving continuous improvement and quality assurance.

Required profile

• BEng, BSc Engineering or BTech in Civil Engineering (NQF Level 7) or higher.
• Active registration with ECSA (Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng) or SACPCMP (Pr CM/Pr CPM).
• 5–10 years of experience managing SANRAL road construction or RRM projects.
• Proven track record in contract administration, project management and cost control.
