Construction Site Manager / Site Agent (Johannesburg)

About the role

We are looking for a technically proficient Construction Site Manager / Site Agent to lead warehouse construction projects in Johannesburg. Reporting to the Project Manager / Contracts Manager, you will oversee day‑to‑day site operations, ensure compliance with contracts and quality standards, and provide accurate, defensible reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities, maintaining safety, schedule and quality targets.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to meet milestones.
• Use MS Projects to track progress and schedule, and apply CCS (Candy) and BuildSmart for cost control and financial reporting.
• Conduct site measurements, valuations and prepare progress claims, documenting variations and delays.
• Provide structured, contract‑compliant reports to senior management and communicate risks and corrective actions to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of site management or site agent experience in South Africa, preferably on warehouse projects.
• Strong knowledge of JBCC contracts and construction standards.
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership abilities.
