Construction Site Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Site Manager to lead our Cape Town project site. This is initially a contract role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, ensuring that construction work aligns with project plans, timelines, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all on‑site construction activities and coordinate the work of subcontractors and site teams.
• Ensure strict compliance with South African construction safety regulations and company safety policies.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to verify workmanship and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain clear communication with project managers, engineers, clients and other stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve on‑site challenges, mitigating risks and keeping the project on schedule.
• Prepare and submit daily reports, progress updates and safety documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supervising construction sites and managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of local construction regulations, building codes and safety protocols.
• Excellent problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Relevant certifications or a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field is advantageous.
