Construction Manager – Mining Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead community‑linked construction work packages for a world‑class palladium‑rhodium‑nickel‑copper‑gold project in Limpopo Province. The role involves full accountability for delivering complex underground mining infrastructure on schedule and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Assume end‑to‑end delivery responsibility for all construction work packages, ensuring alignment with approved scope, timelines and specifications.
• Coordinate multiple contractors across diverse work fronts, maintaining central control to avoid fragmentation.
• Provide structured oversight, capability development and performance monitoring for local contractors.
• Work closely with the Project Control Planner to integrate contractor activities into the overall project schedule.
• Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors to manage commercial frameworks, prevent cost overruns and support dispute resolution.
• Enforce QA/QC standards, ensure technical specifications are met, and drive proactive safety compliance.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.
• 10–15 years of construction experience in mining or heavy industry.
• Proven track record managing multiple contractors on complex projects.
• Strong understanding of project execution within a mining environment.
• Experience with emerging or developing contractors is advantageous.
