Construction Manager - Electrical

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead electrical construction activities on site in Pretoria. The role involves supervising subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulations, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all electrical construction activities on site.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress against programme and budget.
• Conduct site inspections and quality control assessments.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and risk assessments.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, engineers, and project stakeholders.
• Manage procurement and material delivery schedules.
• Review and approve method statements and technical submissions.
• Prepare progress reports and attend site meetings.
• Identify and resolve construction and technical issues proactively.
• Ensure testing, commissioning, and handover requirements are completed.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Trade Test Certificate (Electrician) advantageous.
• SACPCMP registration as Professional Construction Manager (PrCM) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in electrical construction projects.
• Experience with medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) installations.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project planning software.
