Construction Manager – Contractor’s Representative

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Manager to act as the Contractor’s Representative on a key infrastructure project for SANRAL. The successful candidate will be the single point of accountability for all construction management activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all on‑site construction activities for the SANRAL infrastructure project.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the contractor, client and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, ECSA standards and tender requirements.
• Prepare and submit all required documentation, including proof of professional registration and experience.
• Manage subcontractors and monitor progress, cost and schedule performance.

Required profile

• Valid professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
• Full‑time availability on the project as the designated construction manager.
• Demonstrated experience on similar infrastructure projects, preferably with SANRAL or comparable authorities.
• If not permanently employed by the tenderer, ability to provide a signed undertaking from an accredited organization.
