Community Scheme Manager

About the role

The Community Scheme Manager will be responsible for the daily administration of a portfolio of Sectional Title and Body Corporate complexes in Durban. You will act as the primary liaison for trustees, directors and service providers, ensuring financial integrity, statutory compliance and smooth operational performance across all properties.

Key responsibilities

• Manage trust and investment funds, ensuring timely premium payments and proper insurance coverage.
• Oversee contractor compliance, payments and service delivery for all complexes.
• Track unit transfers, handle associated documentation and facilitate collection procedures.
• Prepare and present financial reports, cash‑flow statements and payroll for HOA and Body Corporate staff.
• Organise and document general meetings in line with the Sectional Titles Act.
• Provide strategic guidance to trustees and directors on complex matters and financial reporting.
• Maintain statutory notice compliance, quorum requirements and internal audit actions.
• Support team development, process improvement and continuous learning of South African property legislation.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in commerce, law, finance or property studies (preferred).
• Minimum five years’ experience in property management, specifically sectional title management.
• Strong knowledge of the Sectional Titles Act and related statutory requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, conflict management and negotiation abilities.
