Community Advisor – Customer Experience (12‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

The Community Advisor (DHA) will deliver an exceptional customer experience for FNB clients by understanding their needs, recommending suitable banking products, and guiding them to the most appropriate service channels, including digital and self‑service options. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term position within the Department of Home Affairs Initiative.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a positive and helpful experience.
• Explain banking processes and requirements in clear, simple language.
• Educate customers on the appropriate banking platforms and digital self‑service tools.
• Analyse customer data to recommend tailored financial solutions and identify sales opportunities.
• Ensure all interactions comply with FNB policies, risk guidelines, and service standards.
• Achieve sales targets while maintaining high accuracy and adherence to procedures.

Required profile

• Grade 12/NQF Level 4 minimum; NQF Level 5 certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in customer‑facing roles within financial services.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
• Empathetic, ethical, and accountable for personal performance.
