Communications Marketing Coordinator

About the role

The Commercial Development department at UCT is seeking a Communications Marketing Coordinator to lead proactive and reactive marketing across its property portfolio. You will translate sales and brand strategies into engaging digital and print campaigns, track performance, and ensure consistent brand communication. The role is shift‑based and includes weekend work to support the department’s dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic marketing plans for accommodation, leasing, and conference services.
• Protect and promote the brand, ensuring integrity across all channels.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis, customer segmentation, and retention planning.
• Design and execute social media content campaigns with clear objectives and performance tracking.
• Collaborate with department heads to set and achieve annual marketing targets.
• Maintain a consistent visual identity across promotional materials and events.
• Produce original content, including short videos and reels, highlighting guest experiences and property features.

Required profile

• Higher Certificate in Marketing or Digital Media (NQF Level 5 or above).
• Google Ads certification.
• 2–3 years of marketing experience, preferably in hospitality, tourism, or customer‑facing services.
