Commercial Sales Specialist – Business Insurance

About the role

As a Commercial Sales Specialist you will support the growth of TIH’s commercial insurance portfolio across South Africa. You will identify new business opportunities, build strong client relationships and deliver tailored insurance solutions to decision‑makers in complex environments.

Key responsibilities

• Drive business development by prospecting and identifying new opportunities nationwide.
• Build and maintain relationships with business clients, decision‑makers and influencers.
• Conduct needs analysis and present customised insurance solutions aligned to client requirements.
• Expand network and market presence through industry engagement and prospecting activities.
• Manage and nurture client accounts to improve retention and satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date CRM records.
• Ensure full compliance with FAIS, regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Stay informed on industry trends, product developments and regulatory updates.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or SAQA‑accredited equivalent.
• Full FAIS accreditation (minimum 150 credits) and RE5 qualification.
• 3–6 years of experience in insurance or financial services sales.
• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
