Commercial Property Attorney – Remote (UK Law Firm)

About the role

A UK law firm is looking for a South African‑qualified attorney to provide full‑time remote support to a solicitor on a varied transactional caseload. The role works UK business hours and will initially focus on assisting the supervising solicitor with commercial property matters, corporate transactions involving property, and probate cases with real‑estate elements.

Key responsibilities

• Support the solicitor in day‑to‑day management and progression of commercial property transactions.
• Review, prepare and amend transaction documents, correspondence and ancillary paperwork.
• Conduct property due‑diligence, including title searches, enquiries and supporting documentation.
• Prepare summaries, reports and transaction checklists.
• Manage documents, deadlines, completion requirements and post‑completion steps.
• Liaise professionally with clients, counterparties and other stakeholders under supervision.
• Assist corporate transactions that involve property assets.
• Support probate matters involving the administration, transfer or sale of property.
• Carry out legal and factual research as required.

Required profile

• Admitted and qualified as an attorney in South Africa (no minimum post‑admission experience required).
• Practical experience in commercial property transactions, including during articles.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with a UK‑based solicitor.
• Proactive, dependable and able to exercise sound judgement.
• Reliable internet connection and suitable remote‑working environment.
