Commercial Pricing Specialist – Renewable Energy

About the role

Network Finance is seeking a Commercial Pricing Specialist to join its renewable energy team in Johannesburg North. The role focuses on building and maintaining robust pricing and financial models that support tenders, proposals and strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance pricing and financial models for tenders, business planning and valuation.
• Review tender requirements and create commercial models that meet client specifications while ensuring profitability.
• Analyse complex financial and operational data to provide insights and recommendations to management.
• Prepare and present commercial models, highlighting opportunities to improve margins and mitigate risk.
• Produce regular reports on revenues, margins, benchmarking, forecasts and projections.
• Develop detailed costing models for customer proposals, balancing commercial and business objectives.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Procurement and Finance to deliver commercially viable solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in financial modelling, pricing or commercial specialist roles within the renewable energy or power sector.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen with proven experience in project finance, pricing strategies and energy trading.
• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
