Commercial New Vehicle Sales Manager – Cape Town

About the role

Our well‑known commercial dealership client is seeking an experienced and driven Manager – New Vehicle Sales (Commercial Truck Sales Manager) to lead their sales team and grow market share across the Western Cape. The role is based in Cape Town and requires a hands‑on sales leader who enjoys developing people and building long‑term customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and manage a team of commercial vehicle sales executives.
• Drive daily sales activity, prospecting, customer visits and pipeline management.
• Ensure sales executives achieve activity, volume and profitability targets.
• Coach the team throughout the sales process and assist in closing key deals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with fleet owners, transport operators and key decision‑makers.
• Manage vehicle stock, order books and sales forecasts.
• Work closely with the Dealer Principal to develop sales strategies and growth initiatives.
• Monitor e‑Toyota usage, reporting, customer follow‑up and overall sales discipline.

Required profile

• Matric or NQF Level 4 equivalent qualification.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence.
• Proven experience as a sales manager or senior sales leader with a strong track record of achieving volume and profitability targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to analyse performance and implement corrective action when required.
• Self‑motivated, highly organised and target‑driven.
• Willingness to learn the commercial vehicle industry and the brand product range.
