Commercial Manager - Fruit

About the role

The client, a leading player in the agriculture and farming sector, is looking for a Commercial Manager to protect and enhance commercial performance. You will coordinate market, logistics, procurement, finance and operational information to drive informed business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare director packs, weekly commercial dashboards, issue logs and seasonal performance reviews for strategic oversight.
• Provide budget input, conduct cost variance and margin analyses, and monitor logistics costs to support financial planning.
• Coordinate customer programme commitments, monitor open‑market trading, and align sales, operations and logistics to meet market demand.
• Oversee export logistics performance, freight costs, delivery delays and service provider compliance, escalating risks as needed.

Required profile

• Matric with a degree in Agricultural Economics, Accounting, Engineering or an MBA.
• 3–5 years experience as a Commercial Manager in the agricultural sector.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and strong written & verbal communication.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal transport.
