Commercial Manager - Agriculture

About the role

Our client, a leading player in the agriculture and farming industry, is looking for a dynamic Commercial Manager to safeguard and improve commercial performance. You will translate market, logistics, procurement, finance and operational data into actionable insights and strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare director packs, weekly commercial dashboards, issue logs and seasonal performance reviews.
• Provide budget input, conduct cost variance analysis and monitor logistics costs.
• Analyse seasonal profitability, margin performance and working‑capital drivers.
• Coordinate customer programme commitments and align operational capacity with market demand.
• Monitor open‑market trading, allocate resources based on commercial priorities and summarise customer performance.
• Oversee export logistics, track shipment performance, freight costs, delivery delays and service‑provider compliance.

Required profile

• Matric with a degree in Agricultural Economics, Accounting, Engineering or an MBA.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Commercial Manager within the agricultural sector.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and excellent written & verbal communication.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal transport.
